I live in north central Pennsylvania. Is it ok to plant a Tanyosho pine ( Pinus densiflora 'Umbraculifera') in early September?

Answer

Tanyosho Pine grows well in zones 5 - 7. I believe you are in zone 5 and can plant it in September. Water it in well and make sure it gets an inch or so of water every week. Full sun is desireable and well draining soil is best.
