Q

Do tree tenders provide pruning service or assistance to residents?

I have a street tree with a damaged branch and would like to have my tree pruned. I was wondering if trained tree tenders in my Philadelphia neighborhood of Fairmount could provide any help.

Answer

Chris, the Tree Tenders do not have a pruning service. There are tree care companies that provide this service.

To find a certified arborist, go to the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) website and use the ISA database to find a certified arborist in your area. Tip: a search by zip code is the easiest way to search this database. When hiring arborists, be sure to check that they are ISA certified and that they carry insurance.

If this is your tree and you would like to learn the basics of tree care, consider becoming a Tree Tender.
