Soil testing

Hello,

I am planning to plant vegetables in my garden this year, and I'm wondering how to test for soil contamination. The soil testing kits I've seen in hardware stores seem to be testing for PH, and other fertility issues, not for lead or other possible contaminants. Do you have a recommended source for testing?

Thank you for your help!

Best,

Naomi

Answer

Naomi, you can find soil tests for just about everything if you google Penn State soil fertility tests.  On the left hand side click on Biosolids.  These tests are the greatest!  Best of luck.  ep
