Weeping cherry tree

My weeping cherry was ready to bloom last week; this week, all my leaves have been eaten or gone along with the buds. 2 weeks ago it was getting ready to bloom, today 5/25 I noticed bare branches and what leaves are left have been destroyed with holes and some branches almost like someone took a torch to them. My beautiful baby is gone!!! :(

It sounds as if your baby has been attacked by an insect. Aphids or spider  mites might be the culprits, but this is only a guess.  I would suggest that you get in touch with a certified arborist in your area.  Good luck with this.
