“10,000 Trees” was a major tree-planting effort organized by PHS to plant 10,000 trees in Fairmount Park and 33 smaller Philadelphia parks between 1973 and 1977. This was PHS’s signature project for the Bicentennial and a gift to the City from PHS donors.
