How much weekly rainfall (as measured by a rain gauge) should old growth elms receive?

If rainwater must be supplemented, how long should soaker hoses be run to provide the amount of weekly water needed?
These are lacebark elms, estimated to be between 75 and 100 years old.

If you are concerned about preserving your old growth elms, have a certified arborist analyze the existing conditions (soil, exposure,etc.) to advise you on the best treatment to preserve them.
