Answer

Normally, gardening questions are sent to our Garden Q&A service, staffed by knowledgeable gardening volunteers. However, this service is closed at this time because our volunteers are hard at work helping to set up for the Philadelphia International Flower Show.

As to best bulbs to buy: you won't want to buy any spring blooming bulbs now. The time to buy spring blooming bulbs: daffodils, tulips and hyacinths is in the Fall, which is when you would plant them for spring bloom.

Be sure to visit the Horticultural Information booth at the Flower Show and ask more gardening questions there. The Horticulture Information Booth is located in what is called the Horticourt -- the area of the Show that has all of the individual plant entries.
