What can I do to keep Bradford pear trees from producing fruit in the Fall?
If your Bradford pear is fruiting, there is not much you can do to stop it. The original Bradford pears have hybridized with other callery pears and have produced fruiting plants. These plants have become a nuisance, to say the least, in some parts of the country where they are occurring in large numbers in open fields and along roadways. The only way you can be certain to control the fruiting is to remove the tree.
