Answer

Pauline, you are in good company. There are many passionate rock gardeners in the Philadelphia area. The North American Rock Gardening Society has an active local Delaware Valley chapter and the members are eager to share their expertise. You may have seen their exhibits at the Philadelphia International Flower Show in the education section of the floor.

We have hundreds of books in our library on rock gardening, but to get started, go with either Charles O. Cresson’s Rock Gardening (1994) or read Mary McGary’s Rock Garden Design and Construction (2003).
