How can I get my art on display in the show?

I was there last year, and I saw some drawings of flowers on display and thought that would be something one of my friends would be interested in. So I was wondering if there is a contest or something to get your art on display.

Dylan, there was not a contest to exhibit the art. You were looking at the exhibit of the Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators. Here is the description from PSBI from this year's Show:

Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators

England has long been the epicenter for the revival of modern botanical illustration. The widely diverse climates of the various regions of the British Isles provide the artists with a vast choice of subject matter for their exquisite, original works of art. The artists interact with the public with ongoing demonstrations of techniques and are eager to answer questions from young and old about the brightly colored original watercolor paintings and delicate graphite and colored pencil drawings.

You would need to contact the Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators to learn about membership and exhibiting. Hope this helps.

  1. Thank you for answering this inquiry. I like that PHS has this feature.
We also have a blog that features our members and our activities. Most of the members are amateur--that is did not receive formal art school training. A few are professionals --we welcome all. We are revamping our website which will display Classes. -Thanks
