Q. I am entering a plant in the Philadelphia Flower Show. How do I verify the spelling of the plant name?

Is it Sanseveria or Sansevieria? What does Narcissus ‘Abba’ look like? How about Tulipa ‘Abba’? Here’s an easy way to find out! The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show Botanical Database lists the names of over 19,000 plants that have been entered in the Show over the years. The Database is updated frequently. We urge you to use this Database to check the names of plants before you submit them on a plant list or entry form.

In many cases, the Database will lead you to photographs or descriptions that will assist you in properly identifying a plant. You can reach the Botanical Database here or by typing this address into your browser: http://register.theflowershow.com/plant-search
