How can I delay the blooming of my peonies?
daughter getting married June 29! Would love to have our home grown peonies in the church. Is there any way to slow them down, or save the blooms? Also does it hurt to mulch the area above the peony shoots?

There are growth retardant cheicals and procedures that can delay the flowering of plants. However, they need to be applied by experienced growers. I suggest you consult one of them for advice.
