Lack of formation of squash can be for several reasons. Are these "dwarf growing habit" squash? If not and are trailing, they have to have a certain amount of stem and leaves to support the formation of the squash. You may not have the bees or pollinators to pollinate. Just in case you don't, first identify the male from the female blossoms. The female will have a little squash at the base of the flower. The male will go right from the petal to the stem. Early in the morning help out Mother Nature and pick a nice fresh male blossom and put it right on the female blossom. I leave it there. This greatly helps pollination. If you get some squash to "set" and then some die, this could be due to the plant feeling it has too many squash to support properly. Or, if your vines begin to die, you probably have the squash borer. Look squash borer up on the internet as how to deal with them. If you see little clusters of eggs on the top or under the leaves, I just tear off that part of the leaf as this is the squash bug. ep
