Q. Getting to the Flower Show from New York City.
The New York Botanical Garden usually does a day trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show. Consult their calendar of members events.
There are quite likely several organized bus trips from NYC; however, the organizers do not notify us, they just make their plans and then show up at the Show.
If you would like to travel on your own from NYC to Philadelphia, you have numerous options:
Amtrak takes you to 30th Street Station. From there, you will need to switch to the SEPTA regional rail platform and take any eastbound SEPTA rail train to Jefferson Station (formerly called Market East Station). You don't need to buy a SEPTA ticket, just be prepared to show your Amtrak ticket to the conductor if asked. At Jefferson Station, follow signs to the Flower show -- you can enter without exiting to the street -- it's right there!
For travellers coming to Philadelphia on Amtrak's Keystone service:

New Jersey Transit
Take a New Jersey train to Trenton and then change to SEPTA regional rail to downtown Philadelphia ( the Jefferson Station is next to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, venue for the Flower Show).
You have many options, which you can check out by googling New York to Philadelphia bus service. These include Greyhound and Megabus.
