Toby tree (Catalpa bignonioides)

Is delusional to think I could keep an Indian Toby tree alive in the Delaware valley?Where would I find one? What is the difference between a male and a female?

Answer

William, the Indian Toby tree is a native to the US, and is a Catalpa tree. Catalpa bignonioides It is hardy here.  Sometimes it can be seen blooming along the road with panicles of white blooms. If you google it you will find some interesting information.  You could try Redbud Nursery in Glen Mills as a source.  610.358.4300.  If they don't have it maybe they could recommend someone.
