What year did a major snowstorm close the show?

Answer

The year was 1993.

In 1993, a late-winter blizzard dumped more than a foot of snow on Philadelphia and shut down roads and railways. The Show closed early that year on its last weekend.  After the forced closing of the show, Civic Center employees took pity on stranded exhibitors and PHS staff, and supplied food.
