Can you recommend floral design classes in Philadelphia?
I would love to become a floral designer. I cannot, however, find any classes or schools in Philadelphia, PA that teach such a thing. I have seen on-line classes which seems unusual to me (Penn-Foster comes to mind at the moment)
I have a garden behind my apartment building the landlord allowed me to create!
I live in NE Philadelphia and do not own a car.
Do you lovely folks know where I could take lessons/training?

Answer
Delaware Valley College in Doylestown has a long standing program in horticulture, including floriculture.
Temple University Center City campus offers a certificate in Floral Design.
Local botanical gardens and arboretums offer courses. See the offerings for Morris Arboretum, for example. We sometimes organize flower arranging workshops but do not have anything slated soon. We do have an extensive gardening library that includes floral design books and PHS members can borrow them.
