Do I cut back my perennials and store them? I store them in the garage.

Answer

If they are in the ground, cut them back in the fall and leave them in the ground with the new leaves that are starting to come up at the soil level. If they are in pots, a cool but not freezing garage will work provided you water them occasionally and replenish the soil in the spring.
