Dragon Wing Begonias: Should I pinch back 15-18" rooted cuttings? Not bushy. How to get them to sprout from the axils or additionally from the roots?
They are now 15-18" tall, blooming at the ends, leaves all the way up, still just the stems I started with, Look leggy but very healthy.
Answer
Dragon wing begonias can be ppinched back--or probably more accurately, cut back. You can cut back fairly hard, just taking the main stem back closer to the roots. Just be sure to leave growth points for the plants to branch out.
