How & where can I get soil tested?

I volunteer at a center city preschool to help with the preschool garden. This year the teachers would like to grow root crops. The teachers would like the children to help prepare the garden, plant, nurture, & harvest the garden. The harvested veggies would then be cleaned & eaten at snack time. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to test the soil for hazardous before we get started. Do you agree?

There are instructions in each kit for how to test. To order one, contact your county extension's Master Gardener program.
