I have a Hydrangea that has been in the ground for 8 years. I would like to move it to a sunnier place.
Will it die if I move it now?

This is a tricky time to move the Hydrangea. The new growth has just come out and has not hardened off and we are about to go into the hottest driest part of the year. It is best to move most plants is when they are dormant in the fall or late winter, early spring before growth has begun. However, having said that, if you must move a plant or it will die, then, move the plant but get as big a root ball you can handle and be sure to water regularly. It probably wont die, but may struggle and not look its best this year.
