I have a mt. Laurel that I cut back pretty severely in the fall. It has gotten lots of new leaves but many of the leaves seem to have been chewed around the edges. What could be the cause and how to fix?
Answer
Concerning the new leaves on the Mt. Laurel, someone is making a meal of them. It could be that the insect has come and has gone. Check to see if the chewing continues and look for signs of it under the leaves. If the chewing is continuing you should treat the plant with a systemic insecticide available at garden centers.
