I am looking for pond plants, preferably native plants to help control algae
Installing a pond, it has 3 underwater shelves
Answer
Dear Pond Owner! The important issue is to keep the sun off the water so that the algae does not grow. Water Lilies, such as Nymphaea odorata, which is fragrant, would be a good choice. Also Spatterdock (Nuphar advena), Common Arrowhead (Sagittaria graminea) and Pickeral Weed (Pontederia cordata). You will probably not use all of these, depending on the size of your pond. The Water Lilies may be enough!
