Q. i need a small hardy tree for a small space, which is best?

It depends on how much sun or shade is available and how much space you have. If you would like an evergreen tree that grows about 10' high and 3-4' wide, Thuja occidentalis `Emerald' (Emerald arborvitae). If you choose a deciduous tree, Prunus serrulata `Ananogawa' (Amanagawa flowering cherry) grows about 5' wide and 15'-20' high, has pink flowers and is columnar in shape.
