What is the best way to control Fungus Gnats in plants that have been brought inside for the winter?

Answer

Fungus Gnats thrive in damp soils. Allow soil to dry to a depth of one to two inches before watering. This will discourage production of more gnats. Yellow traps will get rid of adults. Place them horizontally above the plants. Mosquito Bits contain Bacillus thuringiensis which kills larvae in the soil. Sprinkle some on the surface of the plant. Gnat Nix will also work well.
