I have a plot in the community garden at 19th and Wallace st.

I got eaten alive with chiggers and other bugs last year. Someone near me has a little pond that is always filled with water. I don't think that is going o go away. Is there a way to put something harmless on the soil or plants to keep these bugs away? I'm looking to see if there is something else I can do besides spraying on Off every time I go to the garden.
Thank you very much. I hope there is a good solution to this problem

Answer

Avon Skin so soft product with insect repellant has worked for me and apparently is nontoxic.  Burts Bees also has a product also although I haven't tried it.  Both are available on the internet.  Best of luck.  ep
