How can I prevent ladybugs from entering my home or safely remove them?

Do you know how I can safely remove lady bugs from an environment such as the home?

I moved into a high rise apartment (3rd Floor – corner place. Lots of windows) in October and I have tons of lady bugs that makes their way into my bedroom through closed windows since I have been there. I have no flowers or plants in my place. But there is a huge lake and park across the street from me.

How can I prevent them from getting in my apartment?

Answer

Dear Gardener:   I would ask the apartment superintendent to have the windows and doors recaulked and while he is doing this, look for any other entry places for the lady bugs.  Also, spraying the outside of your apartment buliding can be done, but this should be done by an pesticide expert.
