If my Calla Lily Flower survives the summer okay, will I have to dig it up every year or can it survive our winter?

I live in Philadelphia in the West Oak Lane neighborhood.

Answer

A Calla Lily bulb is not hardy. It must be dug up each fall before a hard freeze takes place. It is best to dig it up after a litght frost. Dry off the soil ball and knock off the dry soil. Store the bulb in a cool spot in vermiculite or peat moss. Lightly water once  month and pot up when it shows signs of growth. It can be put outside when the weather is warm at night, 60 degrees or so.
