I am using organic screened compost from the Philadelphia recycling center to grow tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and basil.

All are doing poorly and now I’m getting leaf curl…what to do? Please help.

Answer

There are many things that can cause poor growth besides the soil. So far this year we have had excessive rain, cool temperatures and less sun than usual. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and basil all prefer hot, sunny days. Your plants should perk up as the weather becomes consistently warm.
