Is it okay to fertilize flowers in this hot weather? Sometimes I use a liquid (miracle grow) and sometimes I use a granular fertilizer.

Dear Gardener: If you maintain the moisture for the plants, fertilizing is okay now. Dont wait too long to fertilize as if you fertilize much later than mid July you can possibly initiate new growth that does not have time to harden off before the cold sets in.
