How do I root a jade plant?

I have a question, it seem as if I’ve done something very difficult. Rooting a Jade plant cutting in a cup of water on my desk, the roots are about half an inch long from two or three of the nodes on the stem. I know I need a succulent soil mix for repotting, but my question is, do I need a bag over the pot once I’ve potted the cutting? I can’t seem to find this answer online, they all talk about taking the cutting letting it callous over and sticking it right into the pot. No propagating instructions mention the need for a plastic bag.

Answer

Treat it like a regular transplant. They are tough plants and it should continue to grow roots. Bright indirect light and cool temperatures will help as well.
