Two years ago I received a tree for my front sidewalk. Today I found it snapped in two. Can I graft it? Is it a goner?

Answer

Not being able to see how extensive the damage is, it is difficult to say what to do.  My best thought is to call a good tree person and have them look at the tree. One thought is that if one of the split sections is still vertical and intact, that part of the tree may live and heal.  I must say, I am not too hopeful about the tree's survival, but  good arborist, who can see the tree, can give a better evaluation
