I believe there was a display of live bees with their comb just outside the Ecodome at this year's Flower Show.
Could you tell me what kind of bees they are? They did not look like the European honeybee....

What you saw are not bees. They are parasitic wasps that lay their eggs in an aphid, eventually killing it. This is a form of biological control that is used instead of pesticides.
