Is honeydew from scale expelling waste products (excretion) or is it secretion of something else? Is Pine Honey really just scale poop? :)
I see excretion and secretion being used interchangeably and am confused.

"Honeydew" from scale is excretion from scale and sometimes from other organisms that are in your plants--yes, you are right, poop!!! I am not familar with "Pine Honey" but I suspect what you are referring to is a secretion from Pine trees.
