How do you heal a split truck?
My weeping cherry tree has a few splits in the trunk about half way up. The bark is peeling back and the splits are approx. 1/2 inch deep. It looks like a small circle web in in one of the splits and I'm worried I might has a bug problem.

If you see insects around or in the splits, I would suggest that you contact a certified arborist in your area.
