My pink weeping cherry tree is appox. 6 years or so old..it has flowered beautifully every Spring until this year.. the branches are weeping over but had very few sparse pink blossoms on and no leaves.. what happened ???
Thank you for your time....

Answer

We had some very hot weather earlier in the year with temperatures in the 70's and 80's followed by very cold weather which damaged all of the early flowering trees (particularly magnolias and weeping cherries) so it's not surprising that you had some damage. It is surprising that you don't have any leaves. If you still have no leaves, cut a few branches to see if they are alive and/or contact a certified arborist to look at the tree.
