Where can I buy an Irish Yew?

Am just back from Ireland where I saw this fascinating plant. Can I buy it in the United States?

Answer

The Irish Yew – Taxus baccata ‘Fastigiata’ grows markedly upright, in a dense, broad column.  According to Fred Hageneder in his book Yew, this yew was first discovered in the 1760s on a rock in hills near Florence Court, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Cuttings made their way to English nurseries. All Irish yews are descended from this parent yew.

If you Google the Latin name, you will find sources online that carry this yew. One source is Plant Delights Nursery, Raleigh NC. It grows in zones 6a - 7b, grows to about 9 feet.
