Where can I find pea and oat seeds locally to use as cover crop.

(recc'd by Sally Mccabe and Adam from City Harvest). Do I just have to order these? Or can I buy locally?

Answer

Cover crop seeds are sometimes carried by nurseries. You can try calling Primex in Glenside, Pa.,  to see if they have any. Your best bet is to Google cover crop seeds and order that way. It is late in the season to plant now. Peas can go in in February, oats in late April. You can check with other nurseries, but they probabky have gotten rid of the seeds by now and will reorder stock for late winter.
