Animals are getting to my milkweed plant (tubarosa). What treatments can I apply to deter them?

Generally animals will leave milkweed alone, since the milky sap should be unpleasant to them. If they do eat the plant, spray it with a deterrent for that animal. You can find those products at Lowes, Home Depot, WalMart or local nurseries.
Most deer deterrents such as deer off are effective. Stop using when the plant matures as you may chase away butterflies or their catapillars. I have a dog that will eat small milkweed plants.
