I discovered the tree in our neighbor's yard is a Yew tree and the fruit falls into our yard.

I am concerned the fruit is poisonous and can harm young children. Should this tree be trimmed to not drop fruit or completely removed to prevent poisoning?
This tree is located in Center City.

Answer

The fruit is not poisonous but the seeds are.  Pruning the tree will not stop the yew from producing fruit.  Perhaps the branches that are over your yeard could be pruned.
