I am trying to find out about something in the 1970s/80s in Philadelphia called the Neighborhood Parks Program.

It sounds like a city program but haven’t found anyone who knows about it.

This is connected to the early years of Philadelphia Green, in the mid-1970s. This was just when PG was gearing up and the vacant lots to community gardens project was a partnership between the city – the Neighborhood Parks Program, Bell Telephone and PHS. See attached article from the Philadelphia Inquirer, 1975.

My sense is that city records for this project would either be in the City of Philadelphia department of records

 Or possibly in the archives for the Parks department, since the Neighborhood Parks program came out of the department of parks and rec (not Fairmount Park, which at that time was a separate entitity)
