Can you confirm mature growth heights of 3 varieties of Crape Myrtle trees? Tonto, Pink Velour and Muskagee.

We want the tallest variety that will grow in Wynnewood, suburb of Phila. Zone 6B-7A according to USDA statistics. Our research shows Tonto (5-10') Pink Velour (10-12') and Muskogee (15-20'). Would like your opinion!
what online resources can give us info on trees that do well in our SE Pennsylvania region? I tried PA Coop Extension but no luck searching their website. Thank You!

Answer

Your resource for size information is close to mine:  Muskagee will be the tallest reaching 15' with Pink Velour closer to 10' and Tonto the smallest at closer to 8'.

As for trees for southeastern Pennsylvania, if you Google "Trees for Southeastern Pennsylvania"  several sites pop up which have a good selection for trees for our area.  Also, if you need further tree descriptions, our library has a good selection of tree books for reference.
